Editorial policy
Last updated: 9 September 2026
Our mission is to give women accurate, practical health information grounded in published evidence. This policy explains the standards behind what we publish and the limits of our current review process.
Evidence standards
We prioritise current clinical guidelines, systematic reviews, meta-analyses and randomised controlled trials. Claims are linked to named sources, and guides distinguish established recommendations from preliminary or conflicting findings.
Sourcing
We use peer-reviewed literature and guidance from bodies including NICE, the NHS, WHO, ACOG and the NIH. We do not treat press releases, marketing claims or an isolated study as sufficient evidence for a medical recommendation.
Who writes and checks the guides
Guides are written and evidence-checked by the VeriNourish Editorial Team. The team checks claims against the linked sources, but this is not independent clinical review. The same team currently writes and checks the material, and no separate named reviewer signs it off.
No licensed clinician reviews this content. VeriNourish does not employ a doctor, registered dietitian or other licensed clinician. Nothing on this site replaces advice based on your medical history, medicines, pregnancy status or test results. Read the full editorial and evidence review policy.
Accuracy and updates
Each guide shows the credited editorial team and its latest update date. When a material claim changes, we update the guide and record a correction when the earlier statement was wrong. If you spot a problem, tell us so we can check it against the source.
Independence
Advertisers and affiliate partners do not approve articles or determine conclusions. Our conflict-of-interest policy and affiliate disclosure explain the commercial rules.
